Our Approach
Mike Muise: I enjoyed a 20-year career with Manulife Investments as a District Vice President. I spent that time promoting Manulife investment solutions to financial advisors and their clients. This included advisors at Investia, FundEx, RBC Dominion Securities, Scotia McLeod, TD Waterhouse, Edward Jones, Wood Gundy, Assante… almost all investment services firms. I’ve worked with more than a thousand advisors in my career at Manulife. I got to know more than a hundred advisors very well and many became close friends. I’ll be the first to tell you that in my experience, most registered advisors (regardless of their dealer, the size of their business or the wealth of their clients) are trying to do the right thing every day.
That said, as in any profession, some do a better overall job than others. My goal is to apply the best practices I’ve learned every day with every single one of our clients.
Some of the common practices we strive to bring to our clients’ experience:
- We will take ownership of every investment decision; we’ll consult, provide advice and listen to our clients but at the end of the day we’re making the investment decisions together and will own the good and the bad
- We’ll endeavor to simplify complex investment themes and solutions and provide education - the best teach and the best learn every day
- We’ll focus on our clients’ satisfaction and peace of mind first and let the business take care of itself
